⁴ These are the garments they are to make: a breastpiece,^(A) an ephod,^(B) a robe,^(C) a woven tunic,^(D) a turban^(E) and a sash. They are to make these sacred garments for your brother Aaron and his sons, so they may serve me as priests.

³⁶ “Make a plate^(A) of pure gold and engrave on it as on a seal: holy to the Lord.^{(B) 37} Fasten a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban; it is to be on the front of the turban. ³⁸ It will be on Aaron’s forehead, and he will bear the guilt^(C) involved in the sacred gifts the Israelites consecrate, whatever their gifts may be. It will be on Aaron’s forehead continually so that they will be acceptable^(D) to the Lord.

³⁹ “Weave the tunic^(E) of fine linen and make the turban^(F) of fine linen. The sash is to be the work of an embroiderer.

²⁸ and the turban^(A) of fine linen, the linen caps and the undergarments of finely twisted linen. ²⁹ The sash was made of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn—the work of an embroiderer—as the Lord commanded Moses.

³⁰ They made the plate, the sacred emblem, out of pure gold and engraved on it, like an inscription on a seal: holy to the Lord.^{(B) 31} Then they fastened a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban,^(C) as the Lord commanded Moses.

²⁶ this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Take off the turban, remove the crown.^(A) It will not be as it was: The lowly will be exalted and the exalted will be brought low.^(B)
